How to prepare for your flight - booking the assistance service

If you land at Fiumicino while in transit to continue your journey on another flight, we will take you to the gate as quickly as possible. We nevertheless recommend planning to have enough time between one flight and the next to allow you to reach the gate at a relaxed pace, even if there are delays to your arrival. Remember to book assistance for both legs of the journey - both the outbound flight to Fiumicino and the connecting flight - at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure time of the first flight. For more information, please see the “Plan your journey” section.

For connections which require you to go through passport control and security, these checks are performed directly on specially-equipped minivans at a dedicated border control station. Remember to keep the necessary travel documents with you at all times.

Please note that for connections for which you have to unload your hold luggage or check in again for the next leg of your journey, allow 2 hours for short-haul flights and 3 hours for long-haul flights.
