Travel information

Plan your trip carefully. We suggest that you go to the website of your chosen airline to check the time you need to arrive at the airport and the documents required for departure. The airline may ask you for more information on how it is to provide assistance, whether you will need to carry or use medical equipment or mobility aids (personal wheelchairs or scooters), as well as the need to travel with assistance dogs.

Please be reminded of some general rules:

BAGGAGE

When preparing your baggage, please note that we can only accompany you with one piece of hand baggage with the dimensions provided for by the airline and weighing no more than 12 kg. In the event of excess or heavier baggage, you can book the porterage service for a fee, by emailing supervisoriterminal@adr.it or by requesting this service at the airport's information desks. For further information, please call 06 6595 8349. If you do not want to request the service and should it be necessary to arrange for a second operator to transport your baggage, the wait for assistance could be reasonably longer.

PERSONAL WHEELCHAIR

If you intend to travel with your personal mobility means (wheelchair, electric scooter, etc.), please remember to inform the airline in time. As with your luggage, the airline is also responsible for taking care of your personal mobility means. Generally, a maximum of 2 aids are permitted in tow that can be placed in the hold of the aircraft. The airline will provide you with the necessary information on how to arrange your equipment.

DRUGS AND MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

Subject to specific airline restrictions, you are permitted to carry on board liquid/solid medicines that are essential for medical, therapeutic and dietary purposes, which are strictly personal and necessary for the duration of the trip. For the transportation, in hand luggage, of LAGs (Liquids, Aerosols, Gels) to be used during the trip for medical purposes, a medical prescription is not necessary. However, please remember that these items are subject to additional checks and must therefore be stored in a transparent resealable bag. If you have any further doubts or questions, we recommend that you contact the airline you are flying with.

GUIDE DOGS AND EMOTIONAL PETS

If you need to travel with an assistance dog, we recommend that you inform the airline you are flying with. Animals are welcome at the airport. Dedicated areas are available for their care both inside and outside of the terminals.
